After receiving her BFA in Painting & Printmaking, Amy DeVoogd (pronounced deh-vogued, —it’s Dutch) spent the first decade of her career as a graphic designer and art director. In 2003 she jumped the fence and went solo as a full-time illustrator. Amy has since earned her MFA in Illustration and occasionally teaches illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Amy’s illustrations have appeared in a range of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Progressive and Time Out-Chicago. Additional clients include: 3M, American Express, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Pantene, Pearson Education, Pfizer, Weinstein Books and USA Today.
