Kate Forrester is a freelance illustrator specializing in hand-drawn lettering and illustrated designs for packaging, publishing, advertising and other commercial applications.
Having graduated from Brighton University in 2005 she has since worked for an extensive range of international clients, combining her detailed, organic illustrations with words in a diverse range of projects, adorning hundreds of book covers, several HGVs, a handful of chocolate bars and a billboard or two!
Kate is constantly experimenting and pushing her work to create unusual, flowing, bold lettering and finding new ways to combine her love of type with illustration. Her typography is tailor designed in style to suit each specific brief. This is one of the main reasons Kate’s work is so loved by such a variety of clients. Kate has worked for a diverse range of international commissioners across a wide variety of applications including publishing, advertising, packaging and design. Her beautiful designs have attracted collaborations with the following clients…
Marks and Spencer, The Sanctuary, Waitrose, Innocent Drinks, Tiffany, John Lewis, Victoria’s Secret, McDonald’s, Diet Coca-Cola, Always, Moonstruck Chocolate, Harvey Nichols, Random House, Penguin Books, The Guardian, Little Brown, Pan Macmillan, The Art Group, Grand Central Publishing, Walker Books, Bloomsbury, Headline, Crate and Barrel, Barclays, Youtube, Starbucks, and Kashi Foods.
When she’s not in her studio, Kate can be found pottering round Brighton with her naughty 4 year old old twins (usually to be found running in opposite directions), drinking too much coffee and attempting to master Muay Thai.
