Luis Pinto was commissioned by Saffron Road Food as part of their artist collaboration series, in which animal illustrations were created to represent the heritage and cuisine of different countries. Luis illustrated and animated a hummingbird, an iconic animal in Mexican visual culture, and the illustration is used on packaging for the brand’s Mexican-inspired foods.
Saffron Road also featured Luis on social media, spotlighting his Mexican heritage and his favorite family dish, and going behind-the-scenes on his creative process.
