Lawrence King Publishing

Dalia Adillon was commissioned by Lawrence King Publishing to illustrate “Amelia Earhart” by Isabel Thomas. The book is part of the “Little Guides to Great Lives”  children’s book series. Dalia was selected to illustrate the life of the inspiring Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean and a pioneer of women’s rights. Her disappearance in 1937 while attempting to fly around the world, remains an unsolved mystery. The book has received praise from review sites like Book Nerd Mommy and was shortlisted for @theaoi World Illustration Awards 2018. Stay tuned to see Isabel and Dalia collaborate once again next year for the Little Guides Series with a new book on the life of Ferdinand Magellan. To see more artwork by Dalia click here.

Aga Khan Foundation

Caroline Attia was commissioned by Aga Khan Foundation to create an animation about how Covid-19 threatened to stop Afghan girls from getting to school and continuing their education. Afghan communities – with the support of the Afghan government, the UK’s FCDO, the Aga Khan Foundation and partners – came together to find ways to keep girls learning so that no matter what they could follow their dreams. In Caroline’s animation, an Afghan girl named Laila shows how she continued to study during Covid-19 while school where closed.
