Our latest news and projects will take you on a journey — to a fantasy world, a nature escape, or a different time in history.
Welcome, Cristina Bencina

Illustrator Cristina Bencina is the latest addition to Mendola Artists! Originally from Long Island and now based in Aurora, Colorado, Cristina is best known for her spellbinding narrative artwork for book covers and interiors, alongside work on album covers, band posters, editorial assignments and more. Her style features intricate line work combined with handmade textures and is an excellent fit for fantasy, sci-fi, romance, horror, mythology, and conceptual and symbolic imagery.

Notably, she has worked with the Folio Society on two stunning illustrated editions of Erin Morgenstern fantasies, the second of which was just released this Spring.

Fourth Wing Monopoly
A board game that’s also a book: the perfect project for illustrator Kate Forrester!
Kate worked with Hasbro to create illustrations and designs for the Monopoly Fourth Wing Edition, an officially licensed edition taking place in the thrilling world of Rebecca Yarros’ romantasy novel. Kate’s artwork expands on the original book cover design with symbols and motifs adorning the box, which opens like a book and slipcase. Her illustrations are also used on the game board and cards. Hermés Beijing
Maria Francesca Melis collaborated with Hermés on a dreamlike campaign for the opening of their new standalone boutique in Sanlitun, Beijing. She developed the illustrations and visual direction for the entire campaign, which spanned posters, street flags, large-scale billboards and hoardings, as well as social media videos.

The campaign unfolds around a simple narrative: the artificer falls asleep on a rooftop, drifts through clouds, gardens, and constellations, and then awakens atop the building as the store opens. See it come to life.

Star of the Republic
Hannah Bailey was commissioned by Gallagher & Partners to illustrate murals for the newly renovated Star of the Republic Museum in Washington-on-the-Brazos, Texas. Hannah’s illustrations for the walls of the Family Gallery depict what the historic town was like in the 19th century during the Republic of Texas era, moving from farmers cottages and livestock to a market town with stores. While there are no people in the illustrations, Hannah aimed to capture the essence of the townspeople in the tools and objects they left behind. See more here.

Immersive CGI Environments
Recent work from CGI illustration studio Agent Bob includes a vibrant scene for Similasan Eye Drops, transporting the viewer to a beautiful springtime meadow with an idyllic view of the Swiss Alps.

On the flip side is a snow-blanketed scene they created for grocery chain Publix, imagining a new store located in Anchorage, Alaska. (April Fool’s!)
