Ben The Illustrator was commission by the Guardian to illustrate their weekly “Long Read” article about the hidden homeless people in our cities, titled “The invisible city: how a homeless man built a life underground.” He created 2 versions of the illustration: portrait for print and landscape for web and the Guardian app. The illustration depicts a busy, colorful city with homeless people hidden away in a muted grey color palette, as if they’re unseen. This project was art directed by Suzanne Lemon.
