Ben The Illustrator worked with Pan MacMillan to create a customized emoji for Mariah Carey to promote her new memoir on Twitter. The emoji is inspired by Mariah Carey’s animated character used in her music videos and other promo.The emoji is live on Twitter and can be seen connected to a set of hashtags including: #MariahMemoir #WhatMariahMeansToMe #MariahCarey.

The Guardian

The Guardian

Ben The Illustrator was commission by the Guardian to illustrate their weekly “Long Read” article about the hidden homeless people in our cities, titled “The invisible city: how a homeless man built a life underground.” He created 2 versions of the illustration: portrait for print and landscape for web and the Guardian app. The illustration depicts a busy, colorful city with homeless people hidden away in a muted grey color palette, as if they’re unseen. This project was art directed by Suzanne Lemon.

The illustrations cover a wide range of topics around sleeping and health for their blog and social media.
